Lodges, Camps, Makgadikgadi N. P. Botswana
The Makgadikgadi National Park is a part of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans with a size of more then 16.000 km². The Park itself comprises a size of 4.900 km². The Salt Pans are remains of a large lake. In this area you can find only few lodges and camps (San Camp, Jack´s Camp, Meno a Kwena, Leroo La Tau Lodge). The National Park is located on the north east of the Kalahari on a level of around 900 m above sea level. Outside the Salt Pan the National Park is coined by grassland, a typical dry savannah and scattered bushland as well as unique palm forests. Alongside the Boteti River there are among others lions, elephants and zebras. On several waterholes near the river there are also a few hippos. From the lodges and camps you can make exciting excursions in the surrounding area.
