Lodges, Camps, Nxai Pan N. P. Botswana

The Nxai Pan National Park spreads over an area of 2.578 km² and was established in 1992. The National Park belongs to the most important reserves in the country and is located in the north west. The park is only about 136 km away from Maun and compared to other parks it is one of the best regarding infrastructure. In the park the only camp is the Nxai Pan Camp. Other lodges and camps like Jack´s Camp or San Camp are located outside the park. A borehole, located about 2 km in the north of the park ensures the water supply for an artificial waterhole all year round. The drainage area around the waterhole is coined by grassland with few umbrella thorn acacia and offers the highest concentration of wild animals. Whilst there have been three campgrounds a couple of years ago, today there is only one near the park entrance. The park offers fantastic opportunities to watch elephants, lions, and many other animals that are dependent on the waterhole. Form the Nxai Pan Camp you can make exciting excursions to the waterholes.
