Amboseli National Park

The heart of the park is Ol Tukai which is a lake and swamp area. This area attracts a large variety of animals as it provides food all year round. 

The park is as well very famous for its high population of elephants. In the dry areas of the park off the swamps there are animals like east african oryx, gerenuk and eland. Also the bird world  is strongly represented especially in the swamp areas. The pink and white pelican share the open water holes with the lesser white-fronted goose who is rare to find in Kenya. 

Kingfisher and bee-eater lurk in the reeds for their food. Many raptors such as the african fish eagle, martial eagle, merlin and many more are accommodated in the park too. Visiting the Observation Hill in the south of the airport is a must! From there you will enjoy a breathtaking view over the whole park. You will be able to see the dust from the animals walking to the water holes and in the south a never-ending areal full of acacia that grows until the bottom of the Kilimanjaro.
