The southern Kruger is sometimes referred to as the circus, because of the profusion of people and animals. The most accessible region of the national park is where most first time visitors start exploring the park . If the south is a circus, the central region, with all its predators and prey, is a zoo. Mainly grassland, dotted with acacias and other good browsing trees, it supports high densities of browsers and grazers - and the predators who follow them. The northern section is the driest and least occupied part of the park and it is markedly different from the other areas.
