Panorama Route
The Panorama Route belongs to the most beautiful and most famous destinations in South Africa. It takes you along the rutted mountain range of Drakensberg from Mpumalanga and allows fantastic views over the Lowveld plains which are 1000 m subjacent. The most exciting part is Blyde River Canyon. From many viewing platforms you can enjoy a wonderful view over the 33 km long canyon. Other highlights are God's Window, Lourke Potholes (a rutted canyon with fantastic lights and shadows, as well as three Rondavels in this area. The region is perfect for hikes.
