Regions/National Parks in Zambia

Kafue Nationalpark

With 22.500 km², Kafue National Park is one of the largest parks in Africa. Its northern sector is what Wilderness Safaris strives for when choosing its camps: remote, wild and diverse with vast tracts of pristine wilderness.

Lower Zambezi Nationalpark

This is Zambia’s newest park and as such is still relatively undeveloped, but it’s beauty lies in it’s absolute wilderness state. The diversity of animals is not as wide as the other big parks, but the opportunities to get close to game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels are spectacular.

North Luangwa Nationalpark

This remote tract of land covering 4.636 km² offers one of the finest wilderness experiences in Zambia, if not Africa itself. It is not open to the public and there are no permanent lodges there.

South Luangwa Nationalpark

Situated near the southern extent of Africa's Great Rift Valley, the 9.050 km² South Luangwa National Park lies between low escarpments that form the productive Luangwa Valley.

The Park is sustained by the Luangwa River, an impressive watercourse supporting high densities of game along its banks.
